Today’s guest is Gloria Reed Austin, Co-Founder and Executive Director of the National Multicultural Western Heritage Museum and Hall of Fame with his husband Jim Austin.
The National Multicultural Western Heritage Museum (NMWHM) and Hall of Fame offer the visitor a true and complete historical perspective of the people and activities that built the unique culture of the American West.
Gloria considers herself a caregiver of a great part of our American history, and that is the story of forgotten cowboys, forgotten women, men, women, and children, who lived on the frontier and helped to settle the early American West.
She gives us a glimpse of what life was probably like in the past. The desire is for the museum to pique your interest to go out and do your research on the facts.
She invites you to come and visit the National Multicultural Western Heritage Museum, where you will learn about Hispanic, African, and Asian American, women, men, and children. The frontier people, buffalo soldiers, Tuskegee airmen, all the people who helped to make positive contributions to our Western history and culture today.
July 27, 2024, the museum is celebrating its 20th Anniversary of the Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony & Banquet Gala. There will be activities all weekend.
